We built PhotoRally for car people. Here are the honest answers to the questions that actually stop people from trying.

Is this really free? What's the catch?

No catch. PhotoRally is free to join, free to play, no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription. The closed test is free. We're indie developers building the game we wanted to play.

"Closed test" sounds complicated. How hard is it really?

2 minutes: tap "Get your code" → copy code → open Play Store → profile → Payments → Redeem code → paste → Install. We walk you through it step by step with screenshots on the code page.

Do I really need to take photos of cars?

Yes, that's the core loop. But you only photograph when YOU want to. The camera opens only when you tap the button. Photos are deleted after recognition. No background scanning, no uploads to social media.

What if I don't see cool cars where I live?

You'd be surprised — parking lots, highways, car meets, dealerships. Plus you only need a few cars to start racing. The garage grows as you travel.

Is my privacy protected?

Photos are processed and deleted. No location tracking, no contacts access, no analytics SDKs, no ads. We don't even know who you are — just a random player ID for leaderboards.

Android only? What about iOS?

Currently Android only. iOS is on the roadmap but we're a tiny team. Join the closed test and we'll notify you when iOS launches.

What cars can I collect?

1000+ makes and models. From daily drivers to hypercars. Rarity matches real-world scarcity — a Toyota Camry is Common, a Bugatti Chiron is Mythic.

Can I play offline?

Solo time trials work offline. Online races and photo recognition need internet. Your garage and progress sync when you reconnect.

Is there multiplayer?

Yes. Create a room with a code for friends, or join open races. Leaderboards update in real time. Compare times with players worldwide.

Who made this?

PhotoRally is built by Nikita Permikov, an indie developer and car enthusiast. No publisher, no investors, no analytics SDKs. Just a car guy building the game he wanted to play.
